DEADMAU5 GIVES UPDATE ON HIATUS, CLAIMS HE’S “ON THE RIGHT TRACK”

He will return to Europe for live shows later this month…

Following his announcement last month that he’ll take time out of the spotlight, Deadmau5 has issued an update to fans saying he is “feeling better”.

His short hiatus was brought on following insensitive comments of a homophobic and transphobic nature made on Twitter, where he also used ableist slurs against producer Slushii. He later deleted those comments and issued an apology saying that he would be taking a break from social media.

“Now it’s time for me to deal with my own personal issues including finally addressing my own mental health challenges that I have wrestled with for the past several years,” he said in a statement early last month.

Confirming now that he is “on the right track”, Deadmau5 has assured fans that he will indeed play a number of shows in Europe this month, including an appearance at London’s Ministry of Sound as well as a mau5trap label night at Printworks.

He won’t quite be returning to social media yet though, with his latest statement issued via Twitter today confirming that his socials will remain in the hands of the team at mau5trap for now.

Early last month, Deadmau5 shared the first edition of his mau5trap radio series via Mixcloud.
